Man Charged With Child Endangerment After Firing Gun In Morris County Home, Prosecutor Says

A man was charged with child endangerment and other offenses after firing a gun inside a Morris County home and causing property damage, authorities announced.

Stephen J. Clemo, 46, is accused of firing a gun in front of a victim and their family, including a child, inside a home on Egbert Hill Road in Morris Township around 8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said in a joint release with Chief of Detectives Christoph Kimker and Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo.

Clemo, of Morristown, caused property damage, though no injuries were reported, the release said.

Clemo surrendered to officers who responded following a 911 call.

He remained in custody after being charged with child endangerment, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal mischief, and harassment.
